About Me
My name is Nicholas Reback. I am a Senior Medical Illustrator in the Editorial Graphics department at the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). I am academically trained in design, illustration, and medical science. I have a combined 20 years of experience in product design and medical illustration.
Through my work as a medical illustrator I seek to facilitate communication among clinicians, scientists, and decision makers in healthcare and health policy through the production of accurate, cohesive, intuitive, and dynamic illustration.
Where I Work
The Journal of the American Medical Association is an international, peer-reviewed medical journal serving the needs of clinicians, scientists, decision makers in healthcare and healthcare policy, and the general public. It has been in continuous publication since 1883 and is the most widely circulated medical journal in the world both in print and online.
The central mission of JAMA is “to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health.”
